The Caribbean Sea
Fresh to strong trades continue over the south-central Caribbean,
with moderate to fresh winds elsewhere. Seas are in the 8-10 ft
range over the south-central Caribbean, 4-6 ft elsewhere over the
eastern and central Caribbean, and 3-5 ft over the NW part of the
basin. Higher pressure centered well N and E of the region is
dominating weather over the basin, keeping conditions mainly dry.
Even earlier convection associated with a trough of low pressure
over the Yucatan Peninsula has diminished.
Fresh to strong trade winds over the central Caribbean will
diminish slightly into the weekend as high pressure over the
central Atlantic shifts eastward, except near the coast of
Colombia where these winds will persist through the weekend.

Looks like the easterly Caribbean winds are taking control again, only a small trace of high level air movement and that is still being pushed southwards. Looks as if today will be largely sunny, but with some thin cloud cover in many parts. Temperatures in Belmopan : ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Last Night 23°C 74°F 32°C 90°F Yesterday Rain 0.8 mm ( 0")

Today we celebrate Earth day but it is a celebration that should be done every single day. Earth is the one thing we all share, our home, it should be protected, it should be loved and appreciated more. What are we doing to make a difference to save our world? Yes, Earth needs saving and sadly from us, humans. Our greed, our reign of power is intoxicating her. Let us do our part to help our home, to make her greener, even if it's by doing the smallest job on the list. Plant a tree, pick up others garbage, don't litter, educate others. If we all do one thing for our home, the fruits of that labor will definitely be worthwhile in the future. Let's do our part. Save our home! Photos by Marlena Gomez
