Present Condition: Clear skies throughout the country except in the deep south by Punta Gorda. Sunny and windy in San Pedro. Seasonably hot and dry conditions prevails over the country.
Advisories: SMALL CRAFT CAUTION: Operators of small crafts are advised to exercise caution, for occasionally gusty winds and rough seas. HEAT ALERT: Residents, especially those living in the interior of the country, are advised to stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activities as much as possible.

Mostly sunny and hot today then clear to partly cloudy tonight with little or no rainfall expected.

Sargassum Forecast from April 20 to April 28:
Satellite imagery continue to show Sargassum increasing, especially over central and northern coastal waters of the country. As a result, the chances of sargassum beaching is high in places such as Caye Caulker and San Pedro. San Pedro has a high probability and a high impact.
Tropical Weather Outlook:
There are no organized tropical features across the Atlantic basin at this time. Updates will resume at the beginning of the 2021 hurricane season (June 1).

The Caribbean Sea
An anticyclonic ridge aloft across the northern Caribbean Sea is
maintaining fairly dry conditions across the basin. Fresh to
strong trade winds are active off Colombia, and scatterometer
data shows fresh to strong winds north of Honduras. Moderate to
fresh trade winds are over the south-central and southeast
Caribbean, and moderate trade winds elsewhere. Seas are 2 to 4
ft in the northern Caribbean and mostly 4 to 6 ft elsewhere.
For the forecast, the fresh to strong winds in the central
Caribbean and Gulf of Honduras will diminish on Sun as high
pressure in the Atlantic shifts eastward. A small area of fresh
to strong winds will persist near the coast of Colombia through
early next week.
On Ambergris Caye this morning we have a Southeast wind at 25 mph creating a rough seastate around our barrier reef. Today's expected high temperature is 90 f.
