Whoa, a shocker. I often wondered what happens in a medical emergency in such a remote spot. We met a diver in Indonesia who had worldwide, medivac insurance, which would take him to the nearest hospital or medical facility as necessary. (we are snorkelers) I can't remember what the name of it was, but that always seemed like a great idea. The trick is, communicating with radio, cell phone in such an emergency would also be a factor. Anyone have any more info on this incident? I guess it happened on July 5...wonder why we havent' heard more?
