History gone poof! Following it through town was quite the procession! The police never used it! All it was good for was a reference point for directions.

Tourists loved to take photos in front of it. It reminded them of the tv series Death in Paradise.

Offering a bit of context/history on this booth - although it didn't get used the way it was originally planned, the project it was very well intended, and an example of community-police positive collaboration. Even the land on which it sat was offered for use by private landowners. And, the fact that it was removed and will be repurposed is in part due to the recommendations of a Community Advisory Committee which was recently established to advise/recommend things to the Police. Not all plans go as anticipated, but community participation (and police responding to suggestions) is a nice thing to see.
