One discussion the government and the churches must have is about the reopening for schools. The dates to go back to face-to-face learning were set at August 23rd for secondary schools and the 30th for primary, but with the increase in COVID cases and a new variant lurking about, will the classrooms still be opening their doors? We asked the education minister.

Hon. Francis Fonseca - Minister of Education
"Everything has to subject to change, that's our goal, that remains our objective to open schools for face-to-face instructions, August 23rd and August 30th but obviously as we have always maintained we will guided by the public health officials. If they tell us that it is not safe for us to face to face instruction, then we will not be able to do so. We still remain hopeful that we can."
