Elsewhere, a tropical wave is located over the central tropical Atlantic and continues to produce some disorganized showers and thunderstorms. This system is expected to move west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph, and some slow development is possible early next week when it is expected to be near the Lesser Antilles. It has a near zero chance of formation during the next 48 hours and a low (20 percent) chance during the next five days.

There is a lot of cloud patches in the easterly Caribbean winds and all sorts of high level clouds around, coming down from the north. There is an upper level gyro out over the Caribbean, causing many areas of cloud, presently mainly over Honduras, but will also be causing areas of rain over any part of Belize.

Today
Looks as if today will be rather variable, a fair bit of sunshine, but also a fair bit of cloud, some heavy areas, that can cause rain, some heavy rain patches.

Tonight
Patches or rain may well continue into the night.
