Urgent Repairs Needed

The current Sir Barry Bowen Bridge is a life artery for our town. For years, our residents paid fees and no accountability for the money was given, and no maintenance or repairs were done on our bridge.See the pictures below.

Now, our life and economic artery is in dire straits and in need of urgent repairs. It is a life-or-death situation (literally and figuratively.) The bridge must be urgently and extensively repaired.

Our town has grown in population, traffic management and economic activity. The need is now for an additional new structure to accommodate the volume and size of traffic that supports life and economic livelihood between the two parts of our town. First, we must repair the existing structure.

Our San Pedro Town Council and Area Representative Hon. Andre Perez, are responsible and responding, with urgency, to meet the extensive repair needs and generate funding for the construction of the new bridge.

We have consulted with key stakeholders and we have heard the concerns of our residents. A new fee structure is being designed to be responsive to the feedback and concerns of stakeholders and residents.

San Pedro Town will continue to grow exponentially and as our municipality develops, your leaders will continue to hear your cries and concerns. Together we work to build our community ensuring safety, security, and stability.

In the next few weeks, our leaders will unveil the new but responsive fee structure. We ask your kind partnership as we continue to ensure development for our town and a better life for our people.
