For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

Tropical Storm Fred is in the northeastern Gulf of Mexico and tracking northward towards the Florida Panhandle Sunday evening. While Fred can continue to strengthen up until landfall, is seems unlikely that it will be able to reach hurricane intensity.

Bands of heavy rain will continue to impact portions of central and southern Florida into tonight with an additional 1-2 inches expected. As Fred nears the Gulf coast, rain will increase later tonight and on Monday across the Florida Panhandle, then across the interior of the Southeast on Tuesday as Fred moves inland. Localized flooding will be a concern across the Southeast as this heavy rain crosses the area. Due to the heavy rain and flooding, Fred will be a 1 on the AccuWeather RealImpact Scale for Hurricanes in the United States.

In the Caribbean, Tropical Depression Grace will continue to impact Puerto Rico with heavy rain and gusty winds through Sunday night and this wind and rain will spread across Hispaniola later Sunday night and Monday. The track of the storm through the Greater Antilles will determine how strong it may become. As Grace tracks through the northern Caribbean, wind gusts of 30-40 mph are expected along its path with an AccuWeather Local StormMax of 60 mph. Winds of this magnitude can lead to isolated power outages, especially in areas with a fragile power grid. Grace will be a less than one on the AccuWeather RealImpact Scale for Hurricanes in the Caribbean.

Newly minted Tropical Depression 8 has developed to the east -northeast of Bermuda Sunday evening. This depression will track slowly to the south and gradually gather strength today and likely become Tropical Storm Henri later in the day on Monday. Due to the limited rain and wind, Tropical Depression E will be less than 1 on the AccuWeather RealImpact Scale for Hurricanes in Bermuda.

Also, a tropical wave near the Cabo Verde Islands is tracking to the west into the central tropical Atlantic, though development is not expected. Another tropical wave can emerge off the Africa Coast later in the week.

At 5 a.m. AST, the center of Tropical Depression Grace was located about 160 miles (260 km) east-southeast of Port Au Prince, Haiti. The depression is moving toward the west near 15 mph (24 km/h). A west to west-northwestward motion is expected over the next several days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1010 mb (29.83 inches).change in strength is forecast to occur during the next day or two. Little change in strength is forecast during the next day or so. Slow strengthening is expected to begin by Tuesday.

The track is creeping to the south, getting close to Belize. Still projected to remain a tropical storm, not a hurricane.

On Ambergris Caye this morning we have an overcast sky with a light breeze from the East creating calm sea conditions around our barrier reef. It's going to be a hot day with the expected high set at 90 f.

The easterly Caribbean winds are returning, at least for the north, still a slow off shore wind over the south, but generally clear skies. No rain around, there was a little in the north. There is a large active ITCZ area to the east of Honduras at present, which might have some affect on our weather in a few days time.

Today
Today will be mainly sunny, there are presently, very few clouds around, some clouds are starting to develop, mainly in the north, but more will develop over much of the country, but no indication of any rain.

Tonight
Probably some cloud, and probably no rain.
