Requirement of vaccination cards for Tour Guides to operate within Hol Chan Marine Reserve

Hol Chan Marine Reserve hereby informs all tour operators and tour guides that SI. No. 81 of 2021 Public Health, states the following:

11B.- (1) Every tour operator and tour guide shall present his vaccination card prior to entering any tourist site.

(2) A tour operator or tour guide who fails to present a vaccination card shall be refused entry to the tourist site.".

As a result, vaccination cards will now be required for Tour Guides to access the reserve starting on September 1st 2021. To facilitate the ease of this process, we are hereby requesting that all Tour Operators including free-lance guides send a copy of all their Tour Guides vaccination card to [email protected] or WhatsApp to 614-6539 along with the name of the tour company by Friday, August 27th 2021. Please note that Tour Guides who are not vaccinated will need to present a negative PCR test every two weeks in order to access the Reserve. We highly appreciate the assistance of all Tour Operators and Tour Guides.

Reminder to tour operators, tour guides, boat captains and side men/help, that as of today September 3rd 2021, Rangers at Hol Chan Marine Reserve are now checking for vaccination for Covid 19. If you have not submitted a copy of your card to the Hol Chan office kindly ensure that you have it on person inorder to access the Reserve. If you have any questions contact us at 226-2247.
