The Belize Supreme Court and the General Registry hereby informs the public that regrettably, four of our employees have tested positive for COVID-19 and three are presently on isolation. The Supreme Court and General Registry is providing full support to our employees and their families. Our highest priority is always to protect the health and safety of our staff and the public who utilize our services. As such we have taken every precaution to ensure that we adhere to all safety guidelines.
The Supreme Court and the General Registry Staff, as a result of online filing, have reduced their interaction with the general public. Where it necessitated that there is an interaction, employees have always maintained adequate social distance and continue to practice the wearing of masks.
As a result of this, the Belize City Supreme Court and the General Registry will be closed for the remainder of this working week commencing the 14" September, 2021 to the 17th September, 2021. All office space will be sanitized as a precaution and in keeping with the Ministry of Health Protocol.
A skeleton staff will assist with urgent applications.
Bail applications will be heard remotely.
