Tonight - the UDP is going through changes again - and it comes after a weekend meeting in Orange Walk. It seems circumstances have brought back Patrick Faber and John Saldivar in an alliance of expediency - and Leader of the Opposition Shyne Barrow is the one who stands to lose the most. But aspiring Belmopan candidate Khalid Belisle could also be a sacrificial offering to make this new pact work. Confirmed information coming out of Sunday's secret meeting is scarce - so Jules Vasquez put together a commentary based on best information from party sources:

We did ask Party Leader Patrick Faber for comment and he said he hopes to have a press conference, quote "in a day or two where I will update the public on such goings on." End quote.

As far as we have been able to find out Tracey Panton has not signed a letter pledging her support for Faber as Leader of the Opposition in the House. He needs her support along with Patt to re-take the head seat on the opposition bench - since he will not get the support of the other two representatives, Shyne Barrow and his aunt Denise "Sister B"Barrow.
