General Situation:
Ambergris Caye: Conditions this morning by Elbert just before or after this post!
Belize NMS: Present Condition: Partly cloudy this morning throughout the country. Partly cloudy in San Pedro. Generally fair weather will prevail.
Advisories: None.
24-hour forecast: Mostly sunny today and clear to partly cloudy tonight. Showers or thunderstorms will be isolated, along with the chance for a few more to occur over the south tonight.

Outlook: For Sunday and Sunday night is for similar generally fair weather, with isolated showers or isolated thunderstorms developing.
Sargassum Forecast from September 14 to September 22: Latest satellite imagery suggest that Sargassum concentration offshore has decreased significantly. However, there is the chance that a few small mats could still drift onshore during the next few days San Pedro has a low probability and a minimal impact.
Tropical Weather Outlook: At 3:00am, Tropical Storm Odette was located near latitude 38.0N, longitude 69.3W, or about 545 miles SW of Halifax, Nova Scotia. A broad area of low pressure located less than 650 miles ESE of the northern Leeward Islands has a high chance of becoming a tropical depression or tropical storm during the next 48 hours. . The Caribbean Sea

There are two tropical waves in the Atlantic, and one in the Caribbean.

The Atlantic ridge north of the basin is maintaining fresh to strong trade winds over the south- central Caribbean, particularly off Colombia. A recent altimeter satellite pass indicated seas to 8 ft about 120 nm northwest of Cartagena. Fresh to strong E winds were noted in the Gulf of Honduras by an earlier scatterometer satellite pass. Mostly moderate winds and sea persist elsewhere. A few showers and thunderstorms are active off the southern peninsula of Haiti, as well as from western Panama to southeast Nicaragua.

For the forecast, the Atlantic ridge will shift westward through Sun, as Tropical Storm Odette, off the middle Atlantic coast, lifts northward. This will support fresh to strong winds over the south- central Caribbean and Gulf of Honduras into early Sun. The ridge will weaken starting Sun night as a tropical wave and area of low pressure currently across the central Atlantic move to the northeast of the Leeward Islands early Mon, then begin to move more NW. There is a high chance this low pressure will form into a tropical cyclone over the next several days. Regardless of further development, expect increase winds, seas and thunderstorms north through east of the Leewards early next week.

OP Marty	There is complex weather around us at present. The easterly Caribbean winds over Belize are typical, but the Caribbean winds over the north Caribbean are coming down from the NE, so will be clashing later. The high level is typically from the NE at present, and contributing to many small rain showers, but significantly down south, where there is much more rain. But there is now clearly air coming up from the south. These last few rather hot days and hot nights tended ti indicate that. . . But oddly one cloud area near Ratan, it high level is being blown off towards the NE, opposite to other high level winds. Looks as if today could well be rather changeable, presently sunny with clouds a dn a few rain shower, more inthe south, but could change significantly over the day. Temperatures in Belmopan : ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Last Night 27°C 81°F Yesterday max. 34°C 93°F Yesterday Rain 0 mm (0") Over Night Rain 0 mm 0")

OP Marty	Present Condition: Mostly clear skies, a few more clouds in the southwest of the country. Mostly clear in San Pedro. Mainly fair conditions prevail. 24hr Forecast: Sunny with a few cloudy spells during the daytime and partly cloudy tonight. Showers will be generally isolated with isolated thunderstorms developing mostly inland this afternoon; and a few more occurring over the south during the night. Outlook: Sunday afternoon through midday Monday:- Showers and thunderstorms will be isolated with a few more developing over the south at night, then mostly over northern areas during the morning.
