We are monitoring multiple tropical waves spreading widespread tropical squalls across the entire Atlantic basin. Cyclone development is NOT expected in the tropical Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean, and or the Gulf of Mexico. Take precautions as needed from heavy rain and flooding.

There are currently no organized tropical features in the Atlantic basin.
An area of low pressure located about 200 miles south-southeast of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Environmental conditions could briefly become marginally conducive for the low to acquire subtropical characteristics through early Sunday. However, by late Sunday and Monday, environmental conditions should become unfavorable for any further development. The low is forecast to move slowly northwestward during the next day or so near the North Carolina coast. Therefore, interests along the North Carolina coast should monitor the progress of this system.
