We continue to monitor multiple tropical waves tracking thru strong wind shear but spreading widespread tropical squalls across the East Caribbean island chain. Cyclone development is NOT expected in the tropical Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean, and or the Gulf of Mexico.

There are currently no organized tropical features in the Atlantic basin.

A large non-tropical low pressure area is nearly stationary located about 100 miles southeast of Morehead City, North Carolina. While recent satellite wind data indicates that the center has become better defined while producing an area of gale-force winds in its northern semicircle, the associated shower and thunderstorm activity near the center is minimal and has not become better organized. This system could still become a short-lived subtropical storm later today, but environmental conditions should become unfavorable for any further development on Monday.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...50 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...50 percent.

On Ambergris Caye this morning we have a calm sea condition around our barrier reef from a hint of a breeze from the West. Today's expected high temperature is set at 89 f.

Wow! Beautiful photo!

Very strange weather this morning. The Caribbean wind in the western Caribbean and over land is slowly moving from the SSW . . . The Caribbean wind against southern Honduras is slow moving from the east. There is also slow moving Caribbean wind up above the Yucatan. There are two different high levels winds, a high speed thin from the NNE over Belize and another one higher, from the West. No rain seen around.

Looks as if today will be dry, starting off with a little high level cloud but that thinning to give a bright sunny day, i feel sure that clouds will then start to develop later today, but no rain. No rain on the radar

Temperatures in Belmopan : ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler )
Last Night 26°C 78°F Yesterday max. 33°C 91°F Yesterday Rain 0 mm ( 0") Over Night Rain 0 mm ( 0" )

Tropical wave 36 is approaching the Yucatan Peninsula. However, an extensive anticyclone at higher levels will weaken it.
