The Atlantic basin remains quiet with no organized tropical systems, and no tropical development expected through at least this weekend.

The tropical season still has several weeks left as it runs through the end of November, so more tropical activity is possible farther down the road. Wind shear patterns may become more favorable for tropical development in the Caribbean near the end of October or early November, but for the time being, all is quiet in the Atlantic.

Rainy season is not over yet and more tropical waves are approaching our area.

On Ambergris Caye this morning we have rain continuing after a night of heavy rain with lightning and thunder. The rain gauge maxed out at 5 inches. The wind is from the East at 11mph creating a moderate sea condition around our barrier reef. Today's expected high temperature is 85f.

Presently we are in the middle of an upper level low pressure area, so dropping a lot of rain. Corozal had hors of rain yesterday and again they are getting a lot more. There is more rain along the cost, some of that will probably be coming across the country later today.

Looks as if today will be heavy cloud for most of Belize and more rain, particularly for the north.

Temperatures in Belmopan : ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler )
Last Night 23°C 73°F Yesterday max. 29°C 84°F Yesterday Rain 25.1 mm ( 1.0") Over Night Rain 31 mm ( 1.2" )
