The Ministry of Health & Wellness was also pleased to donate another 10,000 disposable face masks to the San Pedro Police department yesterday.
Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Deysi Mendez donated the masks in a small handing over activity at the entrance location of the station to Christopher Noble, Superintendent of Division 4 and Samuel Gladden, Inspector, Deputy Officer in charge San Pedro Town.
As part of our continued efforts to strengthen collaborations with our partners in the fight against the spread of COVID19, the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Deysi Mendez took the opportunity this past Friday to donate over 10,000 3-layered disposable face masks to the San Pedro Town Council.
We extend appreciation to the Deputy Mayor, Ernesto Bardalez and Councillor Marina Kay for accepting the donation on behalf of the Council. The donation will assist the staff to carry out their duties safely and the council will also continue to support our the Ministry's education efforts to get more persons vaccinated by including mask distribution at various common locations around the island.
Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Deysi Mendez visited with the management and staff of the San Pedro Polyclinic II. She was accompanied by CEO Dr, Osmond Martinez of the Ministry of Finance, Economic Development and Investment who participated in the official delivery of approximately 12,000 KF 94 masks for frontline staff at the clinic.
Her visit was also an opportunity to conduct a walk through of the clinic to see and discuss urgent needs to improve the clinic setting, staffing and services offered to the residents of San Pedro Town.
CEO Mendez expressed her commitment to address as much of the needs of the clinic and also to maintain an open communication to assist where possible.
