Don Jose "Zabache" Gonzalez

Family and friends in San Pedro mourn the loss of Don Jose Gonzalez who passed on peacefully in his sleep. He is one of the Roots of San Pedro and started his life as a fisherman. He is a founding member of San Pedro Fishing Cooperative as well as a Founding Member of San Pedro Lions Club. At Holiday Hotel he was also a pioneer Tourist Guide. Jose had many self taught hobbies including carpentry, electricity, hunting, sail making and indeed a Jack of All Trades.

Today, family and friends in San Pedro mourn the loss of Don Jose Gonzalez.

He was a founding member of San Pedro Fishing Cooperative as well as a founding member of the San Pedro Lions Club. Many remember him at the Holiday Hotel as he was also a pioneer tourist guide. Don Jose was San Pedro's Jack of all trades; carpenter, electrician among many more. He was our good neighbor.

On behalf of the entire Management and Staff of Reef TV Reef Radio 92.3FM, we extend our sincerest condolences to the Gonzalez Family.

May His Soul Rest In Peace and Rise in Glory.

One of the most kind and gentle person I had the pleasure of knowing. I have many fond memories of the times we spent together.
