The curfew is now Sunday to Thursday at 11:00 p.m. at 4:00 a.m. On Fridays and Saturdays from 12:00 midnight to 4:00 a.m. Minors will remain within the confines of their private property beginning at 8:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. These regulations go into effect on December 6, 2021.

Following the announcement of the new COVID-19 variant Omicron and for the purpose of preventing, controlling containing and suppressing the spread of the infectious disease COVID-19, Cabinet on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, approved the following amendments to the Public Health Act:
Any person entering Belize whether through land, air or sea and who has travelled from Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa or Zimbabwe shall be immunized and be tested in Belize in addition to being subject to a period of 10 days' quarantine at a government-designated quarantine facility in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry responsible for Health.
Curfew is imposed from Sunday to Thursday during the hours of 11:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. and Friday and Saturday during the hours of 12:00 midnight until 4:00 a.m. Minors shall remain in the confines of their private property from 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The public is advised that Statutory Instrument 151 of 2021 supersedes and repeals the previous statutory instrument. The Ministry of Health & Wellness continues to remind the public to keep following our prevention protocols to reduce the spread of COVD-19.
The Ministry of Health & Wellness will continue to monitor the situation carefully. The ministry will provide updates on its response and share advisories with the public as soon as more information becomes available.
