The Caribbean Sea
The pressure gradient from high pressure centered over the
western Atlantic combined with lower pressure over Colombia is
supporting fresh to strong winds over the central Caribbean. Fresh
to locally strong winds prevail elsewhere. Seas are generally 5
to 7 ft, reaching 8 ft in the areas of stronger winds.
For the forecast, strong high pressure will prevail over the
western Atlantic through the forecast period. This will support
fresh to strong trade- winds over the eastern and central
Caribbean through the weekend. Moderate to fresh trades are

24hr Forecast: Skies will be cloudy at times. Some showers will continue around the country this afternoon and tonight into tomorrow morning, especially over central and southern areas. A few thunderstorms will also occur over southern areas this afternoon, while isolated thunderstorms are possible elsewhere.
Outlook: For Thursday afternoon through to midday on Friday is for some cloudy spells, along with generally isolated showers or isolated thunderstorms developing.

REGION 7 - On the RIO HONDO at Blue Creek North and downstream at Santa Cruz and San Antonio, levels are near normal and steady, and at and San Roman, below normal levels reported, and Douglas reported near normal and decreasing levels. On the NEW RIVER, Tower Hill is below normal and decreasing; and at Caledonia, levels are near normal and steady.
REGION 9 - On the MACAL RIVER, reservoir levels at all BECOL facilities remain below the spillways; and at San Ignacio, levels remain below the low-level bridge and steady.
The MOPAN RIVER at Benque Viejo Town is below normal and steady.
On the BELIZE RIVER at Double Run, levels are below normal and steady; and on the CROOKED TREE LAGOON, lagoon levels are below the causeway and steady.
REGION 11- On the SIBUN RIVER at Freetown Sibun, below normal and steady levels continue. The SOUTHERN LAGOON at Gales Point Village is normal and steady.
In watersheds on the EASTERN SLOPES OF THE MAYAN MOUNTAINS, levels are slowly increasing; and on the SITTEE RIVER at Kendal Bridge, levels are above normal and continues to increase.
On the Swasey and Bladen branches of the MONKEY RIVER, levels are below normal and steady. The DEEP RIVER at Medina Bank is below normal and shows a steady increase. The RIO GRANDE at San Pedro Columbia and Big Falls South above normal and increasing steadily.
The MOHO RIVER and the TEMASH RIVER are above normal and continues to increase slowly. REGION 13 - The SARSTOON RIVER is normal and slowly increasing.

The cloud coming up from the south is fairly low, so clashing more with the Caribbean winds to cause all the cloud and rain.The lightning is not the rain indicator, yes rain, but also rain on land as well.
