The Caribbean Sea

The pressure gradient between high pressure centered over the western Atlantic and lower pressure over Colombia is supporting fresh to strong trade winds over the central and eastern Caribbean. Some time ago, I was saying that tropical high level clouds formed in a couple of places in the Pacific and then came in over us from the SW. Well presently, for the last few days, that tropical high level cloud has been forming over Honduras and now over the Caribbean and Belize. There are a couple of ITCZ swellups over Belize and other offshore, clashing witht he easterly Caribbean winds and causing a lot of rain.

Looks as if the rain areas will be continuing and heavy cloud over most of the country.
