[b]Benque Viejo Neighborhood Watch Zone 4 Celebrates the 14th annual Boxing Day activity[/b

Zone Captain Samuel Bruce; hosted the 14th annual event was modified to Aid those in economic needs, especially with the Pandemic of COVID 19, and health protocols in mind.

This 14th year marks another landmark of the longest active neighborhood watch group in the area, with recognition of the tremendous dedication by Mr. Bruce to keep the program active since 2008 as Zone 4 Captain, with his recruitment of volunteers to help the community efforts.

Over the years; thousands of children and families have benefitted from the efforts of the positive activities free of charge, and NO cost to GOB, this is accomplished with Volunteers and Private Sponsors, Friends of Mr. Bruce's.

This year's program begin with the Zone Captain and zone Volunteers distributing the 2022 Calendars throughout the Zone 4 area, ( Phillip King, Paco Kotch, Damrais Puc, Johnny Bush, Roberto Carlos Ayala, Zone 4 businesses, and community policing commander Cpl Medina. the neighborhood watch calendars listing important emergency phone numbers.

Gift baskets filled with Rice, Beans, Vienna Sausages, Ramen Soups, Natural Fruit Juices, Whole Chickens, Water bottles, flashlights, bottle opener key rings, Dolls, Footballs, Toys, and School Bags were personally delivered to 15 Selected Needy Families homes, by Zone Captain Sam Bruce and his assistant Ms Rahima Espat.

Special Captain's Note; One of the regular recipient of the Community Support of Mr. Bruce, is Ms. Teresita Moh, blind from birth, her father Jesus Moh was a land owner of what is a major area of Zone 4 , called the Moh Extension, however Teresita has not benefited from her Father's wealth of Land thus lives in Poverty today. Mr. Bruce being in the Benque area for 31 years, aware of much Benque history and watching Benque develop, always remembers Teresita's situation.
