General Situation:
Ambergris Caye: Conditions this morning by Elbert just before or after this post!
Belize NMS: Present Condition: Mostly cloudy on the mainland. Mostly clear skies right now in San Pedro, lots of clouds out at sea. Light and dry northeasterly airflow prevails.
Advisories: None.
24-hour forecast: Variably cloudy and cool with little or no rain.

The Caribbean Sea

A Gale Warning is in effect for the south-central Caribbean, near the coast of Colombia. Please read the Special Features section above for more information.

The cold front previously located from eastern Cuba to the coast of Nicaragua has weakened and now a shear line is analyzed in the same area. Fresh northerly winds are noted per scatterometer data W of the shear line with seas of 5-7 ft. Gentle to moderate northerly winds are seen on the E side. Mainly moderate trades dominate the remainder of the Caribbean Sea E of the shear line, with the exception of fresh NE to E winds near the coast of Colombia. Seas are 3-5 ft, except 5-7 ft near the coast of Colombia. Patches of low level clouds with possible light rain are behind the shear line, more concentrated over eastern Cuba, Honduras, and the Gulf of Honduras.

For the forecast, an increase in the aerial extent and strength of trade wind flow is expected beginning tonight.

Marty OP	A rather complex situation at present. The cause of the cold air bubble is a rolling weather situation over American and now out in the Atlantic, so effectively rolling past us now. This is now allowing earlier pushed back air, to move back in from the south, causing a large blanket of cloud over Belize and the Caribbean, cold air still pushing down over the Caribbean, but no rain. Looks as if the mid-level blanket of cloud will be with us most of the day, probably no rain. Temperatures in Belmopan : ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Last Night 18°C 68°F Yesterday max. 25°C 73°F Yesterday Rain 0mm ( 0") Over Night Rain 0mm ( 0" )

Marty OP	Present Condition: Mostly cloudy throughout the country, partly cloudy in San Pedro. Cool and mostly dry conditions prevail over the area. 24hr Forecast: Variably cloudy with little or no rainfall this afternoon and tonight then the chance of light rain or isolated showers tomorrow morning. Outlook: For Wednesday afternoon and night is for only light rain or isolated showers then a few showers will develop mainly along the coast Thursday morning.
