Belize Yacht Club is pretty nice acco. It's white bread but it's nice. You will be very happy there, I'm sure.
A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?

The BYC is fine, especially since it's a freebie. It's gone through a lot of changes over the years -- condo, time share, hotel, more recently host to an offshore med school -- and just a few days ago it has applied for a major expansion, to something like 150 rooms, with a movie theater and bowling alley. If it goes through it will be one of the two largest hotels in Belize, but those changes are likely a long way off. It has a good location within walking distance of town and the units are attractive. Very nice pool, though there's a seawall rather than a sandy beach. Keep your fingers crossed about the weather at that time of year. One of the major storms in Belize history, Hurricane Hattie, hit on Halloween, and some other storms have come during that period ... but Belize has had more than its share of storms the last four years, so everyone is hoping things will revert to previous patterns, which is one storm about every 10 years. --Lan Sluder www.belizefirst.com
