The Caribbean Sea
There are
pulsing gale conditions offshore Colombia. The gradient between a strong 1043 mb high pressure in the north-
central Atlantic and a 1007 mb low over Colombia is supporting
fresh to strong easterly winds through the majority of the central
and eastern Caribbean with gale force winds near the coast of
Colombia. As wind speed and fetch area increases, wave heights
build from moderate in the eastern Caribbean to rough in the
central Caribbean. Conditions are more favorable in the
northwestern Caribbean, with moderate to fresh easterly winds and
moderate seas.
As for the forecast, winds will pulse to gale force off Colombia
each night through Tue night, while fresh to strong trade winds
will dominate most of the east and central Caribbean today. Fresh
to strong northeast winds will funnel through the Windward
Passage through Tue night. Otherwise, fresh to strong trade winds
and building seas will continue over the tropical north Atlantic
waters east of the Lesser Antilles through today.
A weak cold front moves over northeast Mexico and will spread from the northern part of Florida to the south of Veracruz. This cold front will not reach the Yucatan Peninsula nor the countries of North Central America and the Caribbean and will stay in the Gulf of Mexico almost stationary during this weekend. The Caribbean will be dry and stable in the next few days. The image represents the location of the cold front on Friday afternoon.

On Ambergris Caye this morning the wind is waining but the waves on our barrier reef are still high. It's sunny and warm with a predicted high temperature of 84 f.
Steady easterly Caribbean winds with some clouds, only a small indication of any high level SW winds. There is another cold front pushing down over the Gulf, not clear yet, how far it will come.
Looks as if today will be mainly sunny, with white clouds, probably little or no rain. No rain on the radar
Temperatures in Belmopan : ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Last Night 22 °C 71 °F Yesterday max. 28 °C 83 °F Yesterday Rain 1.2 mm ( 0 ") Over Night Rain 0 mm ( 0 " )
Present Condition: Mostly clear skies throughout the country, including in San Pedro. Generally fair weather prevails.
24hr Forecast: Sunny with a few cloudy spells during the daytime and partly cloudy tonight. Except for a few brief showers over the Stann Creek and Toledo District tonight and tomorrow morning, only isolated showers are expected.
Outlook: From Saturday afternoon through to midday on Sunday is for relatively good weather but with a few interruptions due to an occasional shower or two.
Cold front #30 is located over the Gulf of Mexico Friday. At the moment it's lingering along the Mexican Peninsula. If the Cold front makes it to our area, lt will bring cooler Temperature's, along with rain. It probably won't affect the Peninsula directly
