The Caribbean Sea
High pressure ridging north of the area is maintaining generally
moderate to fresh easterly flow across the basin. Strong winds are
noted near Colombia and in the Gulf of Honduras. The observed
wave height state reveals ranges of 4-7 ft, except for lower
wave heights of 3-4 ft over the section of the sea north of 18N
between 76W-85W. Higher wave heights of 6-8 ft are between 64W-
72W.
Patches of low-level moisture moving westward with the trade wind
are noted over the eastern part of the sea and over the northern
part of the central section of the sea. Isolated to scattered
showers are possible with these moisture patches.
As for the forecast, high pressure north of the area will
continue to support fresh to strong trade winds in the south-
central Caribbean through Fri night. Fresh to locally strong winds
will end in the Gulf of Honduras by Sat morning. A cold front is
expected to move across the Yucatan Channel into the NW Caribbean
Sat evening, bringing fresh to strong winds and building wave
heights to the area. Otherwise, fresh to locally strong trades
and northeast to east swell will continue to impact the waters
east of the Lesser Antilles into early next week.
The easterly Caribbean winds continue to be deflected up north. White clouds already building along coastal regions, no rain for several days. Our weather is changing, we will probably not be getting any more cold fronts and the day temperature now pushing up in to the 90's
Looks as if today will be very similar to yesterday, mainly sunny and with some white clouds, no rain expected. No rain on the Radar.
Temperatures in Belmopan : ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Last Night 24 °C 75 °F Yesterday max. 32 °C 90 °F Yesterday Rain 0 mm ( 0 ") Over Night Rain 0 mm ( 0 " )

Present Condition: Mostly sunny throughout the county, some very light clouds on the east part of the mainand. Sunny, clear blue skies in San Pedro. Mainly fair and warm weather will continue for the next 24-36 hours followed by some changes later on Saturday into Sunday.
24hr Forecast: Mostly sunny during the daytime and clear to partly cloudy tonight. Little or no rainfall is expected.
Outlook: Isolated showers and thunderstorms will develop mainly over inland and northen areas late on Satuday evening; increasing and spreading to coastal and southern areas on Saturday night into Sunday morning.
Cold front “Surada” heading our way, should arrive tomorrow evening.
Our weather is moving from the winter weather into the Summer weather. March often has some of the highest temperatures of the year. The red line is the average monthly maximum day time temperatures, that I have measured over about 20 years, and so also the blue, minimum night time temperatures.
But these are only averages, the actual Day time temperature often go higher, up to the Orange line, typically peaking in April, but there have been some occasional extreme hot days, shown here by the upper dotted orange line, as you see, off the graph, above 105°F in mid to late March. Which is where we are going right now.
The dry season is mid March to mid May. But our wet and dry seasons a highly variable.
