The weather is very complicated right now, the cold air is resulting in a strong SSW surface wind this morning, and yet the conflict with the Caribbean air above it is causing the cloud to be coming down from the north, with two clashing lines with fast, high winds from the SW. The result is a lot of cloud over Belize and many areas of scattered rain over night and presently one over central and coastal southern Belize and a main rain area out at sea.

Looks as if today will continue mainly heavy cloud for much of the day, with a high chance of rain showers.

Temperatures in Belmopan : ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler )
Last Night 23 °C 73 °F Yesterday max. 32 °C 90 °F Yesterday Rain 0 mm ( 0. ") Over Night Rain 2.8 mm ( 0.1 " )

You can see here how there are these large swirls or rotating weather that move across north America and affect us sometimes.

Present Condition: Partly cloudy, especially offshore and along the shoreline as a cold front moves through. Cloudy in San Pedro. A moderate northwesterly airflow supports mild weather conditions. Small craft caution remains in effect for occasionally gusty winds and locally rough seas in northerly swells.

24hr Forecast: Variably cloudy skies with little or no rainfall this afternoon, then a few showers or periods of rain mainly along the central and south coast late tonight, decreasing tomorrow morning.

Outlook: Continuing fair and mild weather Saturday afternoon and Saturday night, then isolated showers are expected Sunday morning.
