Smokey grills, bumping music, and jovial locals and tourists fill Caye Caulker for the start of the Lobster Fest weekend festivities. 2022 Caye Caulker Lobsterfest in 50 Pictures

Caye Caulker‘s Lobsterfest kicked off Friday night and yesterday was the first full day. It’s like an island block party – music, cold beer, grills…so many grills, dogs and kids running around.

There were showers on and off throughout the day but it still looks like so much fun. Next year, I’m going to stay overnight…avoid the lines, enjoy the festivities.

Caye Caulker Lobster Fest – a Resurgence of the Tourism Activity

Over the weekend, the Caye Caulker Lobster Fest took center stage as Belizeans traveled over to La Isla Carinosa to bask in the three days of activities. It commenced on Friday night with an opening ceremony and was followed by two days of visitors enjoying lobster dishes and music on the island. And despite the inclement weather, the festival went on as a resurgence of economic activity on the island. News Five’s Duane Moody reports.
