Present Condition: Partly cloudy on the mainland, especially south of Belize City and in the very north. Partly cloudy in San Pedro. A moderate easterly airflow prevails over the area.

Satellite and surface observations continue to show more sargassum heading our way. San Pedro has a high probability with a major impact.

The 2021 Atlantic Hurricane Season has ended, warnings will resume on May 15, 2022.

The Caribbean Sea
A recent scatterometer satellite pass indicated fresh to strong E
trade winds off the coast of northwest Colombia, and fresh E
winds over the Bay Islands off the coast of Honduras. Moderate to
fresh E to SE winds are evident across most of the remainder of
the basin, where seas are 4 to 6 ft. A few showers are evident off
western Panama, but no significant weather is noted elsewhere.
For the forecast, high pressure north of the area will maintain
fresh to strong winds across most of the central Caribbean through
tonight. Pulsing nightly fresh to strong trades will also affect
the waters off central Honduras into Fri night. The high pressure
will weaken Sat as it slides eastward toward the central Atlantic,
allowing winds to diminish through Mon.
Regular easterly Caribbean winds with some patches of cloud. But there is major ITCZ swellup activity in the Pacific, just off El Salvador, which is throwing out high level cloud over southern Belize and joining with regular high level over northern Belize this morning. There have been a few patches of rain earlier mainly down south, a little in the north and eastern coastal areas.
Looks as if today will be mainly sunny, but with regular cloud forming this morning and areas of high level cloud, with a chance of the odd rain shower.

Present Condition: Scattered clouds on the mainland, cloudier in the south. Mostly sunny in San Pedro. A warm east to southeasterly airflow prevails.
24hr Forecast: Sunny with cloudy spells during the daytime and partly cloudy tonight. A few showers will occur mainly over northern and southern districts this afternoon. Elsewhere, showers will be isolated.
Outlook: For Friday afternoon to Saturday morning is for continuing warm and mostly fair weather.
