On Friday, May 6th, an American female tourist identified as 62-year-old Celeste Lee Bondurant Bell, reportedly experienced complications and died during a night dive.

Initial investigation reveals that Bell, her husband, and other tourists went night diving off Caye Caulker. At some point during the night Bell never resurfaced and minutes later she was seen floating on the sea. Bell was immediately rescued and transported to the Caye Caulker health center where CPR was performed on her with no success. Bell was pronounced dead at 8:05PM by Dr. Iban Fernandez. According to reports no signs of injuries were observed and no foul play suspected.
