The Statistical Institute of Belize is observing Census Day today May 12th. Data collection for the Census starts tomorrow for approximately ten weeks. Over 500 field staff will be deployed across the country and will visit and obtain information from all households, businesses, and institutions.

All field staff will be wearing a vest and ID card with the SIB logo. Some teams will be working in vehicles that will also have the SIB and Census logos displayed.

The Institute encourages residents to participate in the Census and be counted! Information from the Census is critical for planning and informed decision-making.
