The Caribbean Sea
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are observed in the SW
Caribbean, within 60 nm of Panama. Elsewhere, divergence aloft is
producing scattered showers over the SE Caribbean, mainly
affecting NE Venezuela and the southern Windward Islands. The rest
of the basin enjoys fairly tranquil weather conditions. A recent
scatterometer satellite pass captured fresh to strong trades in
the central Caribbean, with the strongest winds occurring offshore
Colombia and Venezuela. Seas in the area are 5-8 ft, with the
highest seas occurring offshore Colombia. Light to moderate trades
and seas of 2-5 ft are prevalent elsewhere in the basin.
In the forecast, the subtropical ridge N of the area will
continue to support moderate to fresh trades across most of the
Caribbean through early next week. Fresh to strong winds will
continue pulsing each night off the coasts of Colombia and
Venezuela through early next week with seas to 8 ft.

This map is SUBJECT TO CHANGE in both track and intensity. #91E / Invest91E in the East Pacific Ocean is likely developing into Hurricane Agatha. HURRICANE Agatha will make a possible LANDFALL across Oaxaca, Mexico May 30, 2022. Upon LANDFALL, Agatha may track across southern Mexico, entering the Bay of Campeche of the Gulf of Mexico, and reforming into a possible TROPICAL STORM or HURRICANE to be named Alex. We project the possible LANDFALL of a tropical system (Alex) along the west Yucatan Peninsula / Yucatan Peninsula, coast, June 3, 2022. Impacts including strong tropical squalls + 40-65 mph winds + inland flooding are possible June 3-5, 2022. The tropical system will enter the Gulf of Mexico and track towards Florida June 5, 2022 late. IMHO - The Hurricane-Tropical Alerts posts are alarmist clickbait. They point out "possible" but when you check the % of possibility you often find 10-20% ......

There has been a large ITCZ swellup just off the coast, which has resulted in a broad line of heavy rain sweeping up over Belize, from the south to the north and presently still over Orange Walk and Corozal districts. We are now in the Rainy season.
Looks as if it will be cloudy for most places much of the say, perhaps the occasional glimpse of the sun, but patches of rain may still occur anywhere today.
Last Night 23 °C 74 °F Yesterday max. 31 °C 89 °F Yesterday Rain 7 mm ( 0.3 " ) Over Night Rain 21 mm ( 0.8 " )
