Marine Conditions:

Phoenix Resort in San Pedro

The Caribbean Sea

Fresh to strong winds prevail over the south central Caribbean with moderate to fresh winds elsewhere. Seas are in the 6-8 ft range over the south central Caribbean and 4-6 ft elsewhere.

For the forecast, high pressure north of the area along with lower pressure farther south over the southwest Caribbean and eastern Pacific will support fresh to strong E to SE winds and occasionally rough seas over mainly the south-central and northeast Caribbean through the early part of next week. Winds and seas will diminish through mid week as the ridge weakens.

Some very strange weather at present, a large very active ITCZ area just off the coast, causing a lot of rain and clouds going out in every direction, several smaller swellups just of the Toledo coast. But there is a very significant mid- high level cloud coming off the States across the western Gulf, and some thin high level drifting from the west, across the lower Gulf, and despite all this and yesterdays very heavy rain up north, Belmopan has had no rain for a day and a half.

Looks like a patchy cloudy day, with some sunshine in some places, yet relatively little rain, at least this morning.

Last Night 24 °C 75 °F Yesterday max. 28 °C 82 °F Yesterday Rain 0.2 mm ( 0 .0" ) Over Night Rain 0 mm ( 0 " )
