According to an official communication from the Mexican Ministry of Health, the patient is an adult male who is in a stable condition and in isolation. According to Mexican media, he requested medical attention on July 11th after having skin lesions, low grade fever, headache, and muscle pain. The results came back today, confirming that he has monkeypox.

And just as they did two years ago, the Mexican health professionals are recommending to their residents to use face masks, social distance, disinfect public spaces, wash their hands, and ensure their face is covered when coughing or sneezing.
