Today, the Tourism Police Unit was the recipient of 8 motorcycles and 10 bicycles jointly donated by the Belize Tourism Board, the Diaspora Unit of the Ministry of Tourism, and the Sustainable Tourism Program II. Hon. Anthony Mahler (Minister, Tourism and Diaspora Relations) officially handed over the donation received by Chester Williams (Commissioner, Belize Police Department.). Present at the handing over, were Mrs. Nicole Usher Solano (CEO, Ministry of Tourism and Diaspora Relations), Mr. Evan Tillett (Director, BTB), Mr. Abil Castaneda (Director, Cruise, Quality Management, and Capacity Development, BTB), and Ms. Aliyson Mclaughlin (Asst. Superintendent, Officer-in-Charge of the Tourism Police Unit).

The motorcycles and bicycles will aid the Tourism Police Unit's monitoring efforts and security measures at various tourism destinations across Belize.
