Significant heavy periods of rain during the early morning caused by an advanced wave from this HURRICANE LISA which is on our door step now. It will be bringing more periods of heavy rain, mainly to central and northern Belize this afternoon, starting just before or around midday. Some rain will be affecting Belize City and that area by 9am

The centre of this 75 mph Hurricane is likely to cross over the Belize coast line, probably just south of Belize City, just after mid-day, so its affects may well be starting by 11am. . . . Cayo should be seeing the last of the storm by about 8 pm or there abouts. There is likely to be both river flooding with more rain and some areas of coast flooding as it crosses about midday. Although they claim 75 mph winds near its centre, it is not clear how much wind inland areas of Belize will experience.

Last Night 25 °C 77 °F Yesterday max. 31 °C 87 °F Yesterday Rain 0.1 mm ( 0 " ) Over Night Rain 62 mm ( 2.4 " ) Humidity 87 % Pressure 1004 mBar

Two Hurricanes & A New Area to Watch
There are two hurricanes and now a new area to watch. Hurricane Lisa is moving into Belize, while Hurricane Martin stays out to sea. Another area will develop in the Caribbean, near Puerto Rico, then lift toward The Bahamas. It could become our next named system.
