Nominations are now open for the James A. Waight Award 2023

The award will celebrate one of Belize's conservation heroes - someone who has made a significant contribution nationally or locally to the conservation and enhancement of Belize's natural environment.

The award nominees must meet the following criteria:

be a Belizean or resident of Belize.
be involved in work directly related to the conservation and protection of the environment.
be involved in one or more of the following areas: ecosystem conservation such as forest, reef or coastal zone conservation; pollution control; ecotourism promotion and the socio-economic environment.

Nominations can be sent to [email protected] or mailed to the BAS head office. The deadline is 5pm, Friday, January 6th, 2023.
