The American Crocodile Education Sanctuary is expanding their rehabilitation center after receiving a donation of 110,000 US dollars. The money was given by an anonymous donor via the ECI Development - which is a real estate and development company.

ACES was originally a rehab center for crocodiles located on the island of Ambergris Caye, but has recently expanded their services to include birds as well. ECI Development recognized the important work ACES does on the island - especially in the wake of Hurricane Lisa, and according to Chris Sommers, the operations manager for ACES, the money has been used to build more sanctuaries. We spoke to him today via Zoom.
