Belize NMS:
Present Condition: Clear skies on the mainland this morning, there are a few very light clouds in the southwest. Mostly clear in San Pedro. Light and dry east-southeasterly airflow prevails; conditions become relatively moist.

Outlook:
(Fri night & Sat) Cloudy at times with a few showers mainly over the coast Friday night and Saturday morning; with showers and light rain spreading to most areas Saturday afternoon, along with isolated thunderstorms over the north.
Sargassum Forecast from December 13 to December 27:
Little to no impacts from sargassum expected over the next two weeks. San Pedro has a low probability with a minimal impact.
Tropical Weather Outlook:
he 2022 Atlantic Hurricane Season has ended, warnings will resume on May 15, 2023.

Marine Conditions:
The Caribbean Sea
Moderate to fresh winds prevail across the eastern and central
Caribbean with strong to near gale-force NE winds N of Colombia
and in the Gulf of Venezuela. Seas in the south-central Caribbean
range 8-10 ft. Seas in the eastern basin range 4-7 ft. In the NW
Caribbean, light to gentle winds with seas to 4 ft are noted. No
significant convection is observed at this time.
For the forecast, surface ridging N of the region will extend to
the northern Caribbean through early next week. This will continue
to provide moderate to fresh trade winds across the eastern,
central and SW Caribbean. Pulsing strong winds are expected to
continue for the Gulf of Venezuela and NW Colombia offshore waters
through Tue. Mixed N and E swell will persist over the tropical
Atlantic waters through at least Tue. The swell will also impact
the eastern Caribbean late in the weekend and into early next
week. A cold front will move into the NW Caribbean late tonight
and into early Sat along with fresh to strong winds and rough
seas. These conditions will persist across this region through Mon
night. The front will reach from western Cuba to the northern
Yucatan by Sat morning, from eastern Cuba to the central Yucatan
on Sun morning. The front will stall in this area and linger
through early next week.
The cold front Kantunil (num. 19) already entered the Gulf of Mexico.
Caribbean Christmas Front The Caribbean Christmas front is coming! The main storm is building in the United States, and will usher Canadian air all the way into the Gulf of Mexico!
Cooler air will be felt this weekend in the Northern Caribbean, The Bahamas, and Bermuda. The rain chance will be higher as the front arrives on Christmas, especially for: Belize, Mexico, The Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Cuba, and the Bahamas.

There is now a large push of cool air, with cloud coming down from the North and is likely to get to us later today or tomorrow. The easterly Caribbean winds are presently, sort of normal, but stopped up by Cancun, there is also fast high level winds up there and very thin high level cloud over us. There is a lot of other cloud over much of Belize and fox in parts. There is also some warm air pushing up from Honduras into the central Caribbean area making clouds. Looks as if there could be increasing rain over the next few days, Rain for Christmas, not Snow.
Looks as if today will be largely cloudy, with some sunshine and some rain patches.

Present Condition: A few light clouds on the mainland, mostly clear in San Pedro. Moisture and instability will increase as a cold front approaches our area.
24hr Forecast: Partly cloudy this afternoon with a few showers mainly inland. Cloudy tonight and tomorrow morning with some showers mostly over coastal areas, along with isolated thunderstorms.
Outlook: (Sat afternoon - midday Sun) Cloudy to overcast and cool with some showers and light rain, especially over coastal areas; along with isolated thunderstorms.
Cold Front Kantunil (number. 19) is already very close to reaching the Peninsula.
