Outlook: For Tuesday and Tuesday night is for fair weather with little or no rainfall.
Sargassum Forecast from December 27 to January 3: Latest Satellite imagery continue to show limited to no sargassum over our area therefore the chances of Sargassum landing on local beaches will remain low during the next few days. San Pedro has a low probability with a minimal impact.

Marine Conditions:

The Caribbean Sea

Surface ridging N of the area extends to the northern half of the basin, thus resulting in a tighter pressure gradient and moderate to fresh trade winds across most of the Caribbean with locally strong winds along the offshore waters of Colombia. Seas are in the 3-6 ft range with slightly higher seas to 8 ft off the coast of Colombia.

For the forecast, surface ridging N of the area extending to the northern half of the Caribbean will maintain moderate to fresh trade winds across most of the basin through the forecast period. Locally strong winds are expected during the night hours off the coast of Colombia, the Lee side of southern Cuba, Hispaniola adjacent waters, and the Mona and Windward passages through Wed. Afterwards, strong winds only will prevail off the coast of Colombia. Otherwise, a weakening cold front is forecast to reach the NW Caribbean on Fri, with fresh NE winds and building seas.
