Marine Conditions:
The Caribbean Sea
The pressure gradient between subtropical high pressure north of
the area and lower pressure in the SW Caribbean is supporting
moderate to fresh E-NE trade winds across the majority of the
basin with seas in the 4 to 6 ft range. A localized area of
strong winds prevails offshore Colombia, thus generating seas to
9 ft. Otherwise, fresh easterly winds persist in the tropical
Atlantic waters and exposed passages between the Islands along
with 8-9 ft seas.
For the forecast, surface ridging north of the area will continue
to support locally strong winds off the Colombian coast through
Sun night. Similar winds are forecast across the Windward Passage,
and south of Hispaniola tonight through Sun night. A weak cold
front over western Cuba will dissipate today. High pressure
building in the wake of the front will support moderate to fresh
NE to E winds south of Cuba through Sun evening. Looking ahead,
winds and seas will diminish over most of the basin Mon through
the middle of next week.

The cold bubble from the north resulted in a cold night, but the easterly Caribbean winds are now pushing back, resulting in lots of cloud around. There are large areas of cloud over Honduras and southern Belize and a clashing line of clouds out at sea. This sort of rain is very erratic, yesterday north Belmopan got 0.2 mm but southern Belmopan a very heavy short rain resulting in flooding. This morning there is a lot of rain in southern areas and some patches in central Belize.
Looks as if today will be very mixed, a lot of rain in the south, and scattered showers, some heavy in central areas, with periods of bright sunshine between and white clouds.
Last Night Temperature 22 °C 71 °F Yesterday max. Temperature 28 °C 83 °F Humidity 78% Pressure 1019 mBar hPa Yesterday Rain 0.2 mm ( 0.14 " ) Over Night Rain 0.1 mm ( 0 " )

Rather chaotic weather around. Can't see it on the satellite pictures, but there is a strong cool surface wind over Belmopan from the SSW, that is from the mountains, or the remnants of the cool air bubble.
