Belize NMS:
Present Condition: Light clouds cover most of the mainland this morning, more so in the northeast. Mostly cloudy in San Pedro. Light and relatively moist and unstable northeast airflow. Meteorologists are mentioning the arrival of two cold front arriving in our area later this week.
Advisories: A Small Craft Caution is in effect for gusty winds and locally rough seas near heavy showers or thunderstorms.

Cloudy at times with some showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly over the coast this morning, mostly inland this afternoon and evening, and again over the coast late tonight.

Sargassum Forecast from January 3 to January 11:
Although, there has been a slight increase in Sargassum over the northwestern Caribbean Sea, the overall total remains low and therefore the risk of sargassum affecting the country will remain minimal for the next few days. San Pedro has a low probability with a minimal impact.

Marine Conditions:
The Caribbean Sea
The gradient associated to a 1024 mb Bermuda High continues to
sustain a easterly trade-wind pattern across the entire basin.
Moderate to fresh with locally strong winds and seas of 5-6 ft are
evident at the south-central basin. Gentle to moderate northeast
to east winds along with 4-5 ft seas are seen over the north-
central and eastern basin. Gentle to moderate northeast to east
trade winds along with seas of 3-4 ft prevail for the rest of the
basin.
For the forecast, the Bermuda High will prolong moderate to
fresh winds across the eastern and central Caribbean today, with
locally strong winds in the Windward Passage and off the Colombian
coast. Winds will diminish to between gentle and moderate over
most of the basin Mon through Wed as the high pressure weakens and
shifts eastward. Winds will increase again, reaching moderate to
fresh over the northwestern Caribbean and south of Cuba Wed
through late Thu as high pressure builds over the Gulf of Mexico.
Looking ahead, fresh NW winds will follow a cold front moving into
the northwestern Caribbean late Fri.
On Ambergris Caye this morning we have a wind from the NE at 9 mph. Today's high temperature is expected to be 86 f. Rain and more rain for the cistern.
The Caribbean winds are again being deflected southwards. There is some high level from the W or SW causing some clashing, but there is a movement of cloud coming down from the north, resulting in a lot of rain, presently mainly out at sea, but some patches on land.
Looks as if much of today will be cloudy, som areas of sunshine, but a a high chance of rain, with possible heavy patches.

Present Condition: Mostly clear on the mainland, a few light clouds in the south. In the very north there are a few clouds, partly cloudy in San Pedro. Moist and unstable conditions linger over the area.Small craft caution for gusty winds and locally rough seas near heavy showers and thunderstorms.

Outlook: A few showers will affect mainly inland areas Tuesday afternoon, the coast Tuesday night and mainly the south Wednesday morning.
Belize & Jamaica - Flooding Possible Heads Up: Belize & Jamaica... The rain chance is even higher the next two days. Isolated flooding is possible. A major winter storm is rolling into California, and that will bring us some cooler nights by the weekend and next week, across the Caribbean.
