The Caribbean Sea
Fresh to strong winds are found in the south central Caribbean.
Moderate winds are over the north central and eastern Caribbean.
Light to gentle winds are in the western Caribbean. Seas are in
the 5-7 ft range over the south central Caribbean, 3-5 ft over the
north central and eastern Caribbean, and 2-4 ft over the western
Caribbean.
For the forecast, fresh to strong northeast to east trade winds
will pulse in the south-central Caribbean and near the coast of
Colombia Sun night through the middle of next week. A cold front
will reach the Yucatan Channel today followed by fresh to locally
strong NW to N winds. By early Sun this front will reach from
Hispaniola to offshore Nicaragua, then weaken to a shear line over
the NE Caribbean on Mon.
That swirly over North America, that was coming across the Gulf yesterday, has now come right down over Belize and into Honduras, diverting the Caribbean winds completely, causing a little rain down south and no out at sea.
Looks as if today will be largely sunny with clouds, getting more sunny during the day.

24hr Forecast: Sunny with cloudy spells today and cloudy skies tonight. A few showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible over inland and southern areas this afternoon and evening and along the coast and over the sea tonight. Cool, dry and windy conditions will prevail Saturday morning.
Outlook: Between Saturday afternoon and Sunday midday is for cool and mostly dry conditions.
The cold front MuukNaal (num. 23) is in the region.
Cold Front this Weekend for the Caribbean A cold front moves in this weekend for the Caribbean. The nights will be cooler in Jamaica, Belize, The Cayman Islands, and Haiti. We'll have a better chance of rain in Puerto Rico and the USVI & BVI. It'll stay warm in Trinidad & Tobago, St. Lucia, and Barbados - with more rain for Guyana and Suriname.

The National Hydrological Service hereby updates the public on river conditions in the country and issues the following:
REGION 7
On the RIO HONDO at Blue Creek North, and downstream at Santa Cruz, San Antonio, San Roman, and Douglas to the coast, normal levels. On the NEW RIVER at Tower Hill, expect normal levels, and at Caledonia, normal levels.
REGION 9
On the BELIZE RIVER at Double Run, normal levels expected, and on the CROOKED TREE LAGOON, steady FLOOD LEVELS.
On the MACAL RIVER, reservoir levels expected to remain below the spillways at the Chalillo, Mollejon and Saw BECOL facilities; and at San Ignacio, levels are expected to remain below the low-level bridge.
On the MOPAN RIVER at Benque Viejo Town, above normal levels expected.
REGION 11
On the SIBUN RIVER at Freetown Sibun expect above normal levels; and on the SOUTHERN LAGOON at Gales Point Village, above normal levels. In watersheds on the EASTERN SLOPES OF THE MAYAN MOUNTAINS, expect normal levels, and on the SITTEE RIVER near Kendal Bridge, above normal levels. On the Swasey and Bladen Branches of the MONKEY RIVER, and on the DEEP RIVER at Medina Bank, expect near nomal levels. On the RIO GRANDE at San Pedro Columbia and Big Falls South, expect above normal levels. On the MOHO RIVER at Blue Creek South and at Jordan, levels expect above normal levels. On the TEMASH RIVER at Crique Sarco, above normal levels expected.
REGION 13
On the SARSTOON RIVER, above normal levels expected.
