Calendar of Events

The Belize Tourism Board is a proud partner of the 15th annual Chocolate Festival of Belize to be held on May 19 and 20, 2023. The festival has become a signature event celebrating cacao, culture, history, and Southern Belize. Belize’s cacao industry and chocolate-making experiences continue to gain international attention with recent features by Forbes Magazine and Saveur. The BTB will be providing support to the festival in a variety of ways including financial assistance and promoting the festival to Belize’s major international markets.

This year’s festivities will open a Chocolate Gala on the 19th at Copal Tree Lodge. Activities continue on the 20th with a celebration of Cacao and Culture at Santa Cruz Village, where visitors will have the opportunity to visit surrounding natural attractions and learn more about the ancient and living heritage of the Maya. The festival culminates in Punta Gorda Town with a showcase of art, crafts, music, and more. For more information, kindly contact the BTIA Toledo Chapter.
