I need some help. We are currently registered to stay at the Seven Seas in mid October. We like to be close to busy areas, but not to close. Like a nice beach and decent accomodations. After reading recent posts about Banana Beach's renovation, I'm wondering if our 10 days in AC would be better at Banana Beach. Walking how many minutes apart?

Thanks and looking forward to the AC feeling.

Scott, have you looke at the Blue TAng Inn?

I would also suggest if you choose Banana Beach for easy access into town you can rent a golf cart.

Hi, trina I would suggest the Orange Walk area. There is a lot to offer there. In particular there is the Lamanai Outpost lodge that offers exactly what you're looking for. You can contact me if you need more info at [email protected]

AZ Diamondbacks,
I have stayed at both. Seven Seas8/01 and Bananas 8/02. There is no comparison, Bananas is the place, especially for that long of a stay,I was there for three weeks. I stayed in the ocean front suite, it had more luxuries than home. You cannot beat the well decorated grounds and rooms, it is very bright and cheery, unlike the other hotel you mentioned. It is about a 25 minute walk to the town, which is not bad along the beach.Nothing is far,you can get a taxi for 5 us or rent a golf cart for a couple of hours. They have two pools and a nice beach, that is well maintained. The accomodations are beautiful, just like the website shows, but nicer in person. The staff is the best that I have ever came across in all my travels,of 15 years. The owner is also readily availible. There is no doubt that I will always stay at Bananas.
Jackie
