We (about 6 - 10) of us are planning a trip to the Carribean and AC is definitely high on the list.
We have always stayed in all-inclusive (lodging, food and drinks) resorts and have enjoyed them. However, I cannot seem to find any in AC or BELIZE. Whats up??

If you were to do an all-inclusive on AC you would be missing all the fun! In San Pedro there are so many fun places to eat and drink. Book a hotel, be free to fully experience the wide variety of activities and establishments offered here. When you are done, you will be happy you were not restricted to one place.

Check out www.kanantik.com
They have an all-inclusive plan that may be just what you are looking for. We stayed there in late May shortly after it opened and loved it. Even the tours and in-country airfare to their private airstrip were included. We plan on returning next year.

No matter where you go ... There you are!

Try Casa Tortuga (Casatortuga.com) - Its a 5 bedroom 2 story villa (the beds are either king or queen). I stayed there with a group and absolutely loved it. Maria is the cook and provides 3 meals a day (will cook to order or do her own thing). You can still venture out to eat if you want but I rarely missed a meal. All the comforts of home (ie. kitchen incl. microwave, lr, dr, 2 full baths, cd player, vcr) We brought our own snacks and movies and loved it. Check it out.

i have to agree with the first response. do not do all-inclusive for meals. you will pay too much & be sorry. so much good food available for a tiny island.

If the large all-inclusives of places like Cancun and Peurto Vallarta are what really appeals to you and your friends, you may find that you are disappointed in San Pedro.

However, if you are willing to experience a new adventure in a great little town that is more quaint, then you shall have a wonderful time. And if you are open and willing to try this new experience, I'd be willing to wager that you'll not be going back to doing all inclusives.

You should consider the whole of San Pedro and Ambergris Caye as your "all inclusive". Of course, you can't get away with just a bracelet or beads and will have to carry cash and/or credit cards. [Linked Image]
