I just heard from my daughter who is a member of the Fox crew. Her group of about 10 members has moved from Journey's End to Sundiver. She says someone is trying to arrange for a barge to get them off Ambergris tomorrow. Someone else in LA is trying to arrange flight reservations with American Airlines to get them out of Belize City. Hope this all works soon.

Just spoke to Tom Colamaria. 38 of 44 of the Fox people are at Sundiver and well. They are anxious to get home and getting conflicting reports about how many people will be able to leave tomorrow and when. There is an effort to coordinate the number of seats available on both AA and Continental. The State Department is aware of the situation and has explained that they will attempt to ensure that everyone ready to leave can. Whether that is with additional flights or a charter we still do not know.

An additional note to the one above:
Alex King from the Belize Film Commission working to arrangments to get the Fox crew to Belize City tomorrow morning. This has not been confirmed since so many docks and boats are damaged. The entire situation is very up in the air at the moment.

Thanks for the update. Based on a couple of conversations with some friends today about the assistance of the state department, I'm glad to know there are others involved in their evacuation.

That's WONDERFUL! I'm so glad to hear that FOX will be more involved in media coverage of Belize & keith! I honestly believe that the main reason everyone is pannicing is beacuse of lack of information of the most important details of this situation. FOX will show the world that media coverage can be a WONDERFUL thing! HOORAY!!!!!

Helen, please don't misunderstand this line of posts. The effort here is not to increase media coverage, it is to get the people who were working on Ambergris Caye home to their families.

Sorry, I should have made that clearer. The other 6 are still at Journey's End, along with Jim Scott.

I re-read your message, and I'm sorry for the misunderstanding - I'm very tired. Don't you think, though, that if a network television station went to Belize to report important imformation about the situation down there, it would help EVERYBODY CONCERNED in some way? The people who are worried about loved ones would have more information and video images, and the people in Belize would have greater communication of their need for help to the rest of the world. I like to think about EVERYONE involved in this. I know that once the FOX crew is gone, the only link from Ambergris Caye to the rest of the world will go too. Is there anything you can do or someone you can call to look into this idea? The FOX contacts have been so helpful to me, and I'll bet, together, we can help more people. Try doing a search on the word "media" on this site, and read what people are saying. Communication is the key to helping these people. Please respond. THANKS!
