We arrived with no problems, brought down stuff for house and paid very little duty for it!! Which was great!! Tropic Air did a great deal for us with no charge on getting our boxes over for us. They let us have the back seat of the plane for our boxes that would not fit underneath.
Thanks to them!!
Our 1st evening there we went around and said Hi to everyone. Then to sleep. Got up and went to the house, it looks great and sturdy!!!! Need that on the island!! 2nd day did work at the house and got a caretaker to clean the property, it was very overgrown due to the rains they have received there in the past 6 months... It looked like a jungle there. These guys worked 7 days just to make it look good, you will need to see the pics!!! Then on the 2nd night we ate at Papi's which was great, then off to Fido's to see Cat. 7!! That is when I my misfutured happen and got a small split on my head!!! LOL
No Prob Mun!!!! Met a few boarders there, they were great and was very glad to meet them!!!!
the rest of the time we were there we spent on working on the house!!! ITS ALMOST FINISHED!!!!!!
laugh laugh :p
We did take 2 days with Hillyboo, and spent fishing... We got so many fish in 2 hrs. you couldn't count them all, this was great!!! Yes Axeman, I got burnt, but got a great Tan now!! LOL
We took a trip over to Caye Caulker to see friends and ate at Rasta Pasta, We missed Marylyn, but had some of the best conch fritters we have ever seen.. You all have to do this...
The waters were great and fun, and can't wait to be there full time to really enjoy the effects!!!
The folks at Holiday Hotel were grand, and would suggest you boarders to stay there!!! It is great!!
Moncho's took really good care of with the golf cart, got it for $300US for 10 days, what a deal for us...
And if you didn't know you can get a week pass from the ferry for 5BZ a day.. What a deal, since you have to pay 10bz for each travel...
We eat at Celi's, Papi's, Jade Garden, Estel's,(all the time for breakfast), Jerk pit, Hideaway Hotel,(for lunch), street vendors, Ambergris delight!! All are #1 on our list!!! Want to thank all on the island for our visit, It was Grand.

We also took supplies down for SAGA, and helped Hillyboo with his 2 new pups, to make them healthly!!!

We also took 2 night trips with Hillyboo to see the stars, you never see anything like, to travel by boat by the reef and look up and see what God has given us without the lights of a city!!!!

This was so so special for Cheri and I!!!!

We also had a great time at the Big Barrel Bar, Fidos, Hang Over Bar at the Holiday, (You GO Kristian), Hideaway bar, BC's, Papala Bar, Mango's, and the Casino, with Chico!!!!!
WE left there over $300 richer!!!!! LOL

Want to thank Barefoot and his family for the new game we learned on the beach at the Palapa!!! Too Cool my man!!! Thank you!!!

We spent alot of time with our Friend there Bernd!!! WE'LL see ya soon!!!!

Over all a grand trip and we'll be back at Easter!!!!!

It is sad to be back here since our hearts are there, but soon we will be there.....

Hola R&C,

Magnifico!!! I really enjoyed your trip report! Particularly the part about the night sky on the boat..WOW!! I remembered how much grander the Stars and even the reflection of the moon on the water can be with no artificial lights anywhere! I read how many Belizians are in favor of the Hydro-electric dam, but they don't know how GOOD they really have it. Electric lights dim in comparison to nature en natural!

Good to hear you are back safe...can't wait to see photos of the house are they posted??
Muchas Gracias! smile wink

RickCheri, Thanks for your good trip report.
So great to know people still Love paradise after so many visits.
So happy for you to have a new home of your own on Ambergris. You have stepped into your dream, and many more people have the same dream waiting to happen for them.
Best wishes to both of you, always.

I just love reading these good trip reports.

Glad you had a wonderful time. I like down time and not trips are all rushed and "let's do this, let's do that, etc." This sounded like you were making your house your home and visiting with your friends. That's so cool.
Good to see you enjoyed yourself.
Thanks for sharing.

How great to meet boarders on AC. Bet is was a fun. The Palapa serves that Blue stuff too!
Questions, does Palapa still serve food on Sunday? Also do the musician still show up for the Jam session?
