Hello all,

I have found several recomendations of fishing guides through the archives, but I am unsure whether I need to book way in advance or not.

We will be in AC from March 29th through April 6. We are hoping to get out a few times with the highly recommended guides during our stay. Should we try and book now? Or will it be easy to find a guide once we are there? Do the better guides get booked way in advance?

Thanks in advance for any help.

It's much too soon to book a fishing guide.
Ask your hotel to advise you on the best procedure - it will vary according to the kind of fishing you wish to do.

Two excellent guides are Severo (226-2324) and Ramon (226-2325) Guerrero. Recommend you check with them on bookings for that time frame; the excellent guides sometimes are booked in advance around holiday/spring break time. These guys are honest and straightforward - they will give you info and advice whether you book with them or not.

Hello, Another Guide is Geraldo badillo. He and his second mate Justo are fantastic guides and their rates are fair. Geraldo is a local san pedrano fisherman, and he knows these waters very well. Justo is a garifuna fisherman from Honduras, and he loves to teach people about the sea. Geraldo's tele. number is in the book. he lives down on lagoon street, by the bay. Best-Wishes, mel Sinderman
