I'm getting very discouraged about airfare. Fares are about $1000.00 right now. I know I saw a fare of about $350.00 from AA when I started planning this trip but our travel dates were too far off to book. We will be departing on May 31st. Will fares go down? If so, when?

I work with Close Encounters in the US. Judy Quam is the owner and can be contacted at 1-888-875-1822. She specialized only in Belize trips. I am booking a trip with her as I type, and it will be my 4th trip.

I know Judy and have worked with her before on other trips! Does she have discounted air? My problem is that I am in SW Florida and am stuck with American. I usually use a discounter out of Orlando and have never seen flights as low as $250.

We went in April this year and the fares dropped about 3 months out (i.e., the sales hit around Jan / Feb) . Right now the sales go through March 31 so the next round of sales probably will go up early next year. Just hold on till then, unless you have any FF miles you can use!

She does have some discounted travel rates, though this time a standard rate for me was cheaper than her rate ($435 vs $560), so I booked the flight myself. I am departing from Boston.

U-Travel (305-264-2207) has a $245 rate advertised
and you get a free travel bag.
Quality Travel (800-525-9777)has a rate that just says "special"
