Yes AC does get in your blood! I have been there twice in the last 6 mos and I am planning my third trip for March if all goes well. Actually if all goes well I will end up living there sometime in the near future. Where there is a will there is a way! I am currently looking into business opportunities and serious investors! So if there are any serious investors out there send them my way!

Well hello everyone...We just got back (with my Viper Rum) to the cold in Atlanta... We had the most relaxing vacation in San Pedro!.. I want to thank Martine and Pineapplewillie for having us down.. Peter at the Internet Cafe (next to Fido's) for doing such a great job on booking our excursions..Malcolm at Fido's for NOT keeping me sober...and the whole Crazy Canucks Beach Bar Sunday afternoon's horseshoe crowd for helping me forget about the rest of the world!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. My wife and I will arrive in (do you say in or on?) AC two weeks from today. I've been reading posts here for some time and have learned more than all other outlets for information combined. This site and board has been an enormous help.

Being from North Dakota, the ocean and all that goes with it is a bit foreign to us. We've already purchased snorkel equipment and have scaled down our packing based on info from here. Mosquitos are nothing new to us, so bug spray won't be hard to find (only have about 72 cans in the garage). Been working on our tan,too. Proabaly the tannest people in North Dakota (not that that's saying much--;-) )

Anyway, on to my question. I've got a conference at Ramon's and we'll be staying there. My wife is wondering about the beach situation. There is an active thread on the board that talks about there not being great beach action, yet from Ramons website, it looks pretty good to me. Of course, I'm a real rookie. Can I tell my wife she'll get her share of sand? I told her she can hang out by the pool while I'm in class, but she says she can do that at any Holiday Inn- and she wants to lay around and skip rocks like the Corona ad (except with a Belikin--as I've learned here).

Thanks again for all the great information and all of you seem so helpful and friendly. If our trip is 10% as good as I think it will be, I'll be in heaven. It's almost a let down, as I've been looking forward to it for so long, it's almost here. Pinch me.

Welcome to the board!!! Your wife will find plenty of beach and if she just walks about town will enjoy the culture and lovely breeze that tickles the palm trees. She can take a little dip in the water and soak up some sun or just get aquainted with the locals.. lots of friendly folk!! Really cool that ya are coming from up North! You will love the contrast!!

Tell your wife that she is going to love this place.....make sure to go crazy Canucks on Sunday afternoon...This is where you will meet the local crowd. Just start talking to them and you will find that you will make 100 friends in about 10 minutes. Look for Martine (she is Pineapplewillies wife, she will be the tallest lady there). Tell her Judy and Steve can't wait to come back in Febuary...Also tell her that I said to buy you a Rum Punch on ME!

My intention was to come down late in February, but this was the only flight reservation I could get. I'm coming alone, so I'm looking forward to meeting some the people on this message board. Hello everybody!! This website is soooo cool!! My wife and I are going to AC in early April and just can't wait. We are new to this site and would love to hear some things about the island. We are staying at the Captain Morgan Resort. Any feed back on this place? Everyone who has posted so far has had nothing but excellent things to say about the whole island which is getting us that much more excited to leave TODAY!!! Any advise about anything down there would be great...thanks!!!!!
